Mirei is the Libra Star Maiden of Conception: Please Give Birth to My Child!!. She is a very calm and logical person. Mirei has been studying magic for many years. Her interest lies mainly in her research. She views love as a foolish concept.
Overview[]
Mirei has been studying magic for many years, to the point where she is the Palace Mage. She's an expert on Star Energy and is known for creating new devices to capitalize on it. She spends most of her time in her lab conducting her experiments. Her current research of interest is studying the new God's Gift. In the original Conception, she operates the Comm Station that allows you to interact with other players.
The Libra Star Maiden and the palace mage of the Kingdom of Granvania who comes from a long line of palace mages. Her interest in research is exponentially higher than that of love or other subjects. Not even the Classmating ritual phases her, compared to the embarrassment of the other Star Maidens. Her current research specimen is God's Gift.
Appearance[]
Normal Clothes: Mirei has blue eyes and has short white hair that's longer in the back with a purple and green headband. Her long sleeved shirt is also purple with green patterns on the collar, arms, cufflinks, center and buttons. Her pants and short-heeled shoes also share the purple color her shirt has. She wears red glasses and has both a white and a black undershirt.
Swimsuit: Mirei wears a mostly black one-piece swimsuit with turquoise outlines and one turquoise line on her sides around her waist. The center of the swimsuit is nonexistent with a good portion of Mirei's abdomen being exposed. This extends to just below her breasts where the halves of the top are not connected between the breasts. The suit is held together by mostly turquoise straps in the back with her back and shoulders also being exposed.
Yukata: Her Yukata is covered predominantly with rectangles that come in different colors. These include gray, grayish white, grayish brown, and black. The black squares show indecipherable words on them. The center is held by an black obi, a red obi-jime, and a gray obi-dome. She wears brown Zouri with red straps.

Mirei is a very calm and logical person. Her interest lies mainly in her research, viewing love as a foolish concept. She disregards most things that aren't associated with her research, but is willing to help others if given the opportunity to learn or to aid her research. This has made some view Mirei as cold, distant, and as a weirdo, but after she provided help to people, her reputation improved. Although she has this reputation, she is normally calm and often tries to acclimate to others so they feel more comfortable around her. Mirei is also more cheerful than she appears and often laughs when people agree to help her, she attempts to tell jokes, or if she learns something interesting.
Her methods for conducting her research can be seen as extreme. Though she initially drugs Itsuki and binds him with restraints with Star Energy, she eventually becomes comfortable enough to talk to him normally. Despite her disinterest in romance, she follows along with Classmating because it piques her interest in the God's Gift from Another World. Though she initially has no issues with it and uses it as an excuse to help complete her research, Mirei acts differently as she and Itsuki grow closer. Overtime, she does become romantically interested in Itsuki, though she doesn't realize it for a while. When that happens, her interest turns from learning about God's Gifts to just learning solely about Itsuki. She also has a mixed reaction to being praised or complimented. While she likes it when Itsuki does it, she tends to get embarrassed when others do it, especially when a lot of people do it at once. The only other times she gets embarrassed are when she got the idea to get nude in front of a man and when someone points out her tsundere moments.
Mirei is also known for having a strong sense of justice and can hold grudges against those whom she feels have done immoral acts. She stands by her convictions even when she's wrong, but she will apologize if she feels she has wronged you. Mirei is the most intelligent Star Maiden.
Anime[]
In the Conception (anime), Mirei's base character traits remain the same, but they are given little focus. Her bonding arc is ignored entirely. She still wishes to research God's Gifts, but her desire to study only Itsuki changes really quickly. Her indifference to love is nonexistent and her interest in Star Energy and the importance of her lineage are glossed over.

- According to the Conception visual fanbook, Mirei has glasses because the head artist wanted at least one of the Star Maidens to wear them.
- Mirei is one six Star Maidens who have blue eyes. The other five are Tarua, Lillith, Sue, Farun, and Collette.
